2010 Preschool Story Time • 10:30AM Tuesdays & 10 & 11AM Wednesdays • Story time and activities for 3-5 year olds. Held at the Fort Mill Public Library.

Adult Crochet Class • Beginner and intermediate classes will teach students how to read patterns, do stitching techniques and how to make a variety of items including scarves, hats and afghans. $40 members/$45 non-members. (803) 548-8020. Fort Mill YMCA.

Tega Cay Kid's Golf Clinics 6-7PM Wednesdays • Held at Tega Cay Golf Course. Cost of the clinic is $15. Clubs will be provided if participants do not have them. Please sign up ahead of time by calling (803) 367-3914 or by email. Walk ups also welcome.

Horseback Riding Lessons • Lessons are offered in the fall and available to children ages 9-14 years and for adults. The children’s lessons are one hour per week for four weeks. They are offered on Monday or Wednesday afternoons at either 3:45PM or 5PM. Upon completion of the first four weeks, the children may continue for four

Native American Pottery Workshops with Keith "Little Bear" Brown. Every Monday • 6-8PM • Brown, whose focus is on producing quality pottery with emphasis on older, rustic pieces is a native storyteller, cultural educator, and a recognized artist of South Carolina Arts Commission approved artist Roster. Growing up on the Catawba Indian Reservation, he watched tribe elders as they worked in the ancient pottery tradition. First involved by helping to prepare clay and fire finished pottery pieces, Brown later became a student of tribe elders. Women, who were principle potters taught, while men helped and often made smoking pipes. Today many men including Keith are producing pottery & his works are exhibited throughout the southeast. Avant Garde Center for the Arts is a non-profit whose mission is to provide arts opportunities in marginally served & diverse neighborhoods through partnerships.at Avant Garde Center for the Arts, 621 Dearborn Street, Great Falls, S.C. $160 fee includes four sessions & all supplies.
