September 4, 2010 • Casting Call • Fort Mill Community Playhouse will hold auditions for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," Saturday, Sept. 4th from 9-11AM, Sunday, Sept 5th from 1-3PM and Tuesday, Sept. 7th from 6:30-8:30PM. September 25, 2010SC Chili Cook-off Championship • The cookoff is sanctioned by the Chili Appreciation Society International, (CASI), a non-profit organization that oversees chili cookoffs in the US and overseas. Their principles are having fun and raise money for charity. Prizes include trophies and bragging rights, but no cash prizes are allowed under CASI rules. • Entry fee is only $20 for the Texas, or competition style chili, and $10 for the freestyle. Texas style is meat and tomato based, with no fillers, while freestyle can contain beans and other fillers.
