Directed by Hal Houston • A slave named Pseudolus attempts to win his freedom by helping his master, Hero, woo the girl next door, courtesan Philia. Pseudolus must outsmart Hero's parents, Philia's master Lycus, and her new master Miles Gloriosus, who is coming to collect her. The classic plays of Plautus have been updated by a pair of brilliant writers and infused with Sondheim's music throughout. Then came the pressures and problems of middle age. Attempting to recapture their friendship and settle all disputes, they go on an overnight fishing trip like old times, where they come to the realization that life is too precious and too short to let true friendship get away.
